Many BMO branches are now equipped with change counters like the ones at superstore/safeway/loblaws, but the grocery stores charge for the service. The machines at BMO are free to use and you can exchange the coins for bills or have it deposited directly into your account. We're also told that you can mix Canadian and US coins and they are treated at par, but we have not verified this.
